TASK
You will create a power point to share with the class as you solve the clues to find your National Treasure. Your process assignments will tell you what you need to include in your power point. The power point is to be formatted like a Travel Journal. You should include links that show images of the person/place you are learning about. You will not be able to title your power point until you solve the clue that will give you your group's complete name. If you start the webquest and you think you already know the answer to the clue, DO NOT SHARE THAT WITH YOUR GROUP YET!!!! Everyone in the group needs to brainstorm and research. If you are sure you know the anwer, tell your group that you know the answer and write it down on a piece of paper. Ask the teacher if you are correct. Each member of the group should do this. Please don't spoil the fun by shouting out the name write away if you already know it. Each member of the group will take a treat to the Sweet Jar when they guess the correct answer. You will be assigned to a group in class on the day we begin the webquest.
Your task is to read the clues and then use the world wide web to unravel the clues and find out about your national treasure. Once you have found the answer to each clue, write it down in your Note-taking form. Use the websites you found in your search to answer the questions about your National Treasure on your note-taking form for creating your power point. You can divide up the questions among your group. Each group will have one major clue, and when that is solved, you will then answer a series of questions and complete several tasks. Your power point should include ALL the information you were asked to find in the ORDER that you were asked to find it.
